Expanding the offer of sustainable products: By 2025, ALDI will have increased the number of sustainable products by 10%

We support our customers in making sustainable choices and want to bring sustainable and responsibly sourced products onto everybody’s plate - this is why ALDI has set the ambitious 2025 goal of increasing the number of sustainable products in our range by additional 10% (against baseline year 2019).

Every day, millions of customers visit one of over 6,700 ALDI stores worldwide because of our great quality products at the best price. Our customers also want to shop where they have access to responsibly sourced products. ALDI’s new goal of increasing the number of sustainable products by an additional 10% by 2025 contributes to our vision of making sustainability affordable to our customers.

ALDI has always considered certifications to be a sign of quality and responsible business practices. It is one of the easiest ways for our customers to access responsibly sourced products and helps ALDI to raise awareness of sustainability issues with them. We have been working hard to increase the number of sustainable products in all our international marketplaces. We already provide our customers with, amongst others, Fairtrade bananas, Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade chocolate, MSC and ASC certified fish and seafood products, or a range of organic products (more information: ALDI SOUTH Group’s Corporate Responsibility Performance or visit our national websites).

ALDI acknowledges the need to go beyond certification and we have defined more actions to address human rights, environmental and other key issues in our supply chains as part of our Roadmap to Vision 2030
