ALDI SOUTH Group is a leading retailer for human rights in the canned tuna supply chain

In a recent survey by the ‘Business & Human Rights Resource Centre’, the ALDI SOUTH Group was ranked as a leader in regards to our approach to human rights in the canned tuna supply chain.

The Pacific is home to the world’s largest tuna fisheries. Canned tuna companies and supermarkets have a responsibility to ensure their supply chains are preventing human rights violations. The ‘Business & Human Rights Resource Centre’ invited canned tuna companies and supermarkets to answer a survey on their approach to human rights challenges.

The evaluation showed that the ALDI SOUTH Group is regarded as a leading company when it comes to the aspects of ‘human rights due diligence’ and ‘practical actions’. The ALDI SOUTH Group is planning further actions in order to contribute to advance its commitment to respecting human rights in the supply chain.
