ALDI countries show further commitment to sustainably sourced seafood and join the Ocean Disclosure Project

ALDI continuously works on making its fish supply chain more sustainable. ALDI US, UK & Ireland and Australia have joined the Ocean Disclosure Project (ODP) to voluntarily disclose information around its seafood supply chain practices.

Established in 2015 by the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, the ODP is a global platform and reporting framework dedicated to increasing transparency in global seafood supply chains by encouraging companies to publicly disclose their wild-caught seafood sources. ALDI will disclose a list of all the fisheries, catch method and environmental impact of its wild caught seafood.

The ODP supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water), which aims to conserve the oceans, seas and marine resources. This initiative is in line with the commitment made by the ALDI SOUTH Group to increase sustainability across its supply chain, while continuing to meet the demands of consumers. ALDI cares about the communities it serves and continues to ensure accessibility to high-quality foods at affordable prices.
