In the EU, 2.5 billion pairs of shoes are thrown away every year. Customers can now support the circular economy by purchasing products like ISA-TRAESKO’s Cradle to Cradle Certified® unisex slip-on EVA shoe for adults.
The shoes are made from a synthetic mono-material called EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). The EVA used can be recovered after use through a recycling process where it is returned to a technical nutrient. This process is what makes the shoes unique; not only can they be recycled, but because of this breakdown to nutrient level, they can be completely redesigned into something new. As a result, this product prioritises material health and product recyclability.
The shoes have a simple and comfortable design and come in a range of colours, including black, olive, orange, and lilac. The shoes are available across stores in Germany from the 20th of July 2023 for just €3.99. Customers can return after the shoes free of charge use. Complementary returns are possible within five years of the purchase date. Shoppers simply need to pack the shoes securely, print the return label and hand it in at the parcel drop-off location.
